How do I build a lead capture form and add it to my website?
- Go to Forms and click Create form. Use the button at the bottom to open the form builder.
- Drag and drop elements and move them around, or start from a template such as the contact form on the right.
- Save the form and click Publish.
A published form gives you three ways to use it: a link, an embed code and the API.
On a website hosted somewhere else, such as WordPress, copy the embed code and paste it into your site. The link is usually not what you want for integrating. If you have a completely custom form in your own app, post the form data to our API endpoint instead. Votel calendars and the chat widget can also be embedded and work on any site.
If the site is built in Votel, you do not need the code. Open the website in the website builder, click Quick add, then Forms, and drag in a form. You can change its colors to match the look and feel of the site. You can also ask the AI assistant to put the form at the top or bottom of your website.
A form can trigger an automation, such as an email, an SMS or a phone call, so every lead gets a real-time follow-up, and you can have it email you a new lead notification.
