Can I put my AI agent on my own or a client's existing website, like WordPress or Wix?
Yes. Every AI agent you build has website widgets, and you can put one on any website where you can add custom code: a website hosted by Votel, or a third party system such as WordPress, Wix or a site hosted on GoDaddy.
- Go to Agents and open Website widgets.
- Create a widget for the agent.
- Copy the snippet of embed code from the widget tab.
- Paste the code into the website. The agent then appears on that site.
You do not need to take control of the client's website or move their hosting. If the client is happy with their website, keep them where they are and just add the widget, with the least friction possible.
The agent is omnichannel: the same AI agent that answers the phone also answers on the website widget by default, so one agent can talk on every channel. If you want different behavior on the widget, create a separate agent for it.
The widget has a chat mode, where visitors type and can switch to voice, and an orb mode, where the orb changes color depending on who is talking.
